Studio Supervisor Position, Brookline Studio

Brookline Yoga Studio seeks full time Studio Supervisor to lead team
Successful Brookline area yoga studio seeks committed, inspired and innovative person to head up our studio desk staff & customer service team. Must be a self starter with a great work ethic, impeccable communication skills, and love of our products & services. Previous business experience & excellent references are needed - you must be skilled with WORD, EXCEL and intuitive with computers in general. You will work out of the offices below the studio itself. We are looking for someone who loves people, is fiscally responsible, is prompt and detail oriented, and open to a unique and fun work environment.

SCHEDULED HOURS:
Mon - Thurs: 12:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Friday: 12 - 8:00 pm
Note: Your regular workweek will consist of 40 hours, but from time to time, you may work up to 50 hours in any given week.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Answer Desk Manager & student questions and be the face of the studio
  • Oversee Desk Managers on shifts; assist during busy classes as necessary
  • Hold Desk Managers accountable for class & retail envelopes; sign off on their daily totals
  • Fill out daily reconciliation form and make nightly deposits
  • Oversee all studio daily operations and confirm that incense is lit, music is appropriate, lighting & heat are consistent, and studio is clean, safe and welcoming
  • Oversee Maintenance Manager on inventory/supplies ordering, (Smartwater, Poland Springs, studio supplies, studio schedules); special projects, volunteer management, and petty cash reports
  • Coordinate with Workshop Coordinator to get workshops up in the studio at the appropriate time
  • Coordinate with retail manager to keep retail clothing, books, cds, dvds, mats, Yogi-toes, Ultima, etc in stock
  • Twice monthly meetings with upper management to discuss productivity, systems implementation, community & team building
  • Open studio mail; re-direct all invoices to BPYI main office billing address, handle charitable donation requests, cancel any unnecessary magazine subscriptions, etc.
  • File monthly over/under reports for class envelopes
  • File monthly deposit spreadsheet reports
  • File monthly Desk Manager subs report, create monthly manager schedules and help create employee attendance incentive program
  • Coordinate key tag program in Brookline Studio; holding Desk Managers accountable for doing all data entry and for giving new customers cards at their first class
  • Implementing training ideas/sessions for new & current Desk Managers to improve efficiency & increase independence and productivity in our staff
  • Answering OmSoft Customer Service questions and assisting students with account questions
  • Ensure that all Desk Managers know where supplies & GATORADE are kept and that GATORADE is always readily available. Ensure that all Desk Managers understand the re-hydrating importance of GATORADE and how to mix it.
  • Coordinate with studio cleaning company for thrice weekly cleaning. Confirm that the job is being done adequately.
  • Spearhead/supervise studio improvement projects
