Rhea Slichter

"As a yoga instructor, I am deeply honored and blessed to be working for and with Baron Baptiste and the amazing BPYI teachers! Many thanks to the Boston and Cambridge Baptiste yoga community for welcoming me here to my new home and work with you. My heart and soul is singing a big "Yes," I so enjoy being here with you and sharing this yoga. Together let's just practice some great yoga, connect our minds, hearts and souls and spread this light and love within and around us.

When I started doing this yoga, my intention was to help heal some old dance injuries and stay in shape. The reason that I came back again and again to practice this yoga four to five times a week for almost ten years now, is that I have a passionate physical and soul connection to this yoga. Quite simply, I love how I feel after I am finished and step off my mat so much more than how I feel when I don't get on my mat to practice! Other yoga systems don't give me this same feeling.

At first, I had no clue as to what this yoga practice would "give to me." I could go on and on about what I have personally received and seen other people receive from the practice, specifically, of Baptiste Power yoga. You will hear about these experiences from me in class. Let me just say that everything that you see printed on the pages of this web site and hear from the his teachers is potentially the truth of what you can receive from this practice. It can be your truth. All you have to do is commit and practice and receive."

Rhea danced professionally and taught Modern and Jazz dance in many collegesand workshops throughout the US and in Latin America. She has college degrees in Environmental Design, Landscape Design and has been certified to practice Feng Shui. Rhea had taught for Baron Baptiste for several years before becoming the director and eventual owner of the BPYI studio in Bryn Mawr, PA in 1999 to 2002. Rhea has also completed level 1 & level 2 teacher training with Baron. Committed to teaching yoga, Rhea also continues to design homes, offices and gardens to enhance her client's enjoyment of their unique spaces and to strengthen and vibrate personal goals and intentions.
