Leslie Munday

Ten years ago a friend invited Leslie to her first yoga class. She attended regularly for a few
years and then less frequently as her commitment wavered. She reached a point where she was only
going to class once a month. One evening she attended a class taught by the instructor who
introduced her to the practice. After class concluded, he commented that she seemed different. It
went without saying that the change was not a positive one. He was able to see something in Leslie
that she had not - she was off her path and simply going through the motions. She realized at that
point how much the work she does on the mat influences her life off the mat. Her practice helps her
to stay grounded, claim her personal power, and see glimpses of what it truly means to be in the
moment, without thoughts of the past or projections of the future.
"Since that time my commitment to my practice has not wavered. Although I do not always make it
physically to my mat, I continually put forth effort to be present on my mat mentally and
spiritually."
Leslie's first experience of the Baptiste style was in 2003 when she took a class taught by a friend
that had recently returned from attending a Level 1 Bootcamp. She knew she had found what she was
looking for and began trying to find out everything she could about Baron and his teachings. As
"luck" would have it, Baron was coming to town to teach a five-day workshop the following spring.
Leslie was so inspired by Baron during the workshop that she completed Level 1 and Level 2 within
seven months of her initial training with Baron.
"Baron is so down to earth and real. I was drawn to him and his style because of his authenticity.
He speaks in a language that just makes sense to me."
Most recently Leslie's passion for yoga has expanded into a study and practice of Thai Yoga Therapy.
She is a certified Thai Yoga Therapist and has a practice in Boulder, Colorado where she teaches
yoga.
