Dave Farmar

Dave began practicing yoga in 2001 at a local gym, while looking for a temporary way to stay active after breaking his hand. While yoga may not have been the best choice for resting a broken bone, Dave did end up finding a true connection with the practice, which has grown to be an integral part of his life years later.

In 2005 Dave decided to begin a new journey, leaving full-time architectural practice to teach yoga, attending Level 1 and Level 2 teacher trainings with Baron. In 2007 Dave became a Certified Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher, and he continues to work with Baron as an assistant at teacher trainings and national conferences. He teaches yoga classes in Denver, Colorado at Baptiste affiliate studio Yoga on 6th as well as workshops across the country.

"I'm so excited to be part of the Baptiste community, and to be able to share the transformational power of this yoga with students of all levels."

A graduate of UCLA, Dave moved to Colorado in the early 1990s to earn a master's degree from CU, and has called the state home ever since. From snowboarding in the winter to triathlons or mountain bike races in the summer, Dave is always looking to take advantage of all the Rocky Mountains have to offer. International travel is also a passion, including reaching the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2006. Dave still continues work as an architect on selected projects and as a consultant for statewide political campaigns.
