Elizabeth Range Kiely

Elizabeth Range Kiely (Beth) is a native Chicagoan and is very proud of her city, South Side roots and big family. On a visit to South Beach to get away from the Windy City's famous winters, a pal took her to a hot yoga class. Arriving at class feeling a bit lonely, more than a little stressed and somewhat puffy, she left feeling light and curious. That was in 1993 and she simply kept coming back to yoga for more relief and renewal.

Now, 16 years later, Beth is living the Yoga Vida with her husband Terry (another certified Baptiste Teacher and outstanding guy) and their two young sons. The family runs Om on the Range Yoga Studio in their North Side neighborhood. When the studio was opened in 2002, the Kielys named it as a tribute to Beth's Dad -- Dr. Charlie Range. He lived his life by taking care of others and exploring his true nature all while smiling and laughing. Beth's sister Annie, who also teaches Baptiste at Om, adds a sweet dimension to the family way at the studio.

After taking a yoga workshop with Baron, Beth wanted to experience more of his intensity and purpose in connecting students with their way of being. Beth finds bootcamps and other immersions with Baron and his team a continual source of inspiration, joy and growth. "Baron's desire to share his gifts as a teacher with all takers is genuine and powerful. He helps you wipe your slate clean of what has happened and what might happen, leaving you space to be with what is right in front of you. This isn't just conversation and concept; it's real time delight and union. The BPYI process is a healthy and jostling way to make your life big, positive and clear."

Beth received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign and her MBA from Northwestern University in Evanston. She was a professional fundraiser for non-profits in Chicago and London. While she enjoyed serving charitable organizations for many years, she feels that her work has a yoga teacher takes this desire to connect and serve to an even richer level.

"When I teach, I am inspired by students who arrive to get connected. There are so many levels to explore connection -- our bodies, our thoughts, our spirits, our community-- that the discoveries and pleasures are endless. You get to plant the seeds to live your life in the way you wish to experience it...and then actually live it. As a teacher, my goal is to provide the space and freedom to allow you to renew yourself for yourself and, ultimately, your family and community. Terry and I invite you to come to Om on the Range and grow with us."
