Participating in both levels I and II of Baron's TT Bootcamps has changed my life in ways I NEVER could have anticipated. Level One helped me to put down all I THOUGHT I knew and make room for what I didn't know. Level II pushed me a step further to taking responsibility for my self imposed limitations and as a result the lives of OTHERS are being changed! Thanks to the changes the bootcamps allowed me to make, I am now the agent of change in the world around me. AMAZING! sue jones Somerville, Mass www.yogahope.org

The 40 day personal revolution has hit Charlotte, NC. There are 168 committed yoga students not including the instructors at the YogaOne Studio that are following a most awsome journey! Thank you Baron for starting a movement that creates a non-judgemental loving environment for all to learn from a grow. If you are in the neighborhood Friday, February 16, 2007 you should come in to see our closing celebration. We would love to have you!

Bootcamp in Costa Rica December 2006 changed my life. All aspects of my life seemed to have changed while I experienced the bootcamp. I not only had an intense physical experience whereby I fell in love with yoga, but I had an equally forceful, radical even, change in my spiritual life. All I can say is that I had been waiting for the pieces of my life to come together and Bootcamp did that for me. It is very difficult to explain, and I should only hope that bootcamp be as powerful in many others' lives. Thanks to Baron, Gregor, the assistants, and the Pura Vida staff.

Thank you Baron, for your wonderful book (40 days to personal revolution)it has totally transformed my life. 20 years of pain ended the day i began to read it. A friend was kind enough to loan it and i have not stopped reading and practising what you have written. I feel enlightened, and live each day to the fullest. You have saved my life. It would be wonderful if you could come to Australia to conduct your classes/seminars. You are my spiritual guru. God bless you.

Dear Baron and Gregor, Thank you for a wonderful and inspiring week. The bootcamp provided a safe place for me to look at my life and grow. I took a risk by sharing and crying in front of the group. I felt supported by you and the others in the camp. I feel that it helped me find my voice. I am a therapist and it has impacted the way I sit with people. I am also not afraid to volunteer in my supervision group which only makes my experience more valuable. I look forward to continued training with you. Thank you.

Bootcamp was amazing I had no idea it would change me in the way that it has. I simply wanted to improve my practice and become a calmer person. I got so much more. I am finding myself getting rid of the skeletons in the closet that I was hanging onto for dear life with ease. I thought that would never happen. Thank you Baron, Gregor, and my bootcamp family.

Dear Baron, I just happen to tune in dec 12th to Crystal ANdrus and heard you describe me to a Tee - a great lack of integrity and a life on hold and not going anywhere at all - just when my wife nd i have no income and a new 9-mos old baby. how do i get unstuck and get my and my wife's life on to fulfillment - i have issues with fear, lying and our life is NOT WORKING.' it was a blessing to find you and Crystal just in time to hear your on-the-dime interview and views that describe me so exactly. i am ready to live life and recreate income and joy and peace in my family and myself. Many blessings to you for being there for so many of us whose life is in stuck mode. Eric G

Costa Rica 2006 was my 8th bootcamp. It was an incredible experience. I arrived feeling that I was right where I needed to be. I am committed to the Baptiste growth process which allows me to go deep into my thoughts and feelings and sit with it all until my body is ready to tell me it is done. I am able to find my still point which leads to me finding my next step. I enjoy and live in the present moment and and my power emerges. Then my heart bursts wide open. It is so amazing. I feel true gratitude to all bootcampers and staff. You have deeply touched my life. Until we meet again, much love to all...Ronnie Jersky

The week I spent in Tulum changed my life. I became stronger both physically and mentally. My teaching has improved greatly as has my attitude. I am so excited to go to Level 2. The only problem was the food, I lost ten pounds and was starving. The whole vegan diet was not for me, I wish I had known ahead of time I would have brought turkey jerky!! I have made wonderful friends that I will have hopefully for a lifetime. Thank you for the experience. It trully does everything Baron claims and more.

Having never taught a yoga class in my life before, I was very nervous about taking my initial class 5 days after the completion of Level 1. Spending 8 days with Baron and the crew showed me a new way of looking at myself. Working with the other yogis also showed me where I was not being true to my core. I dropped a huge mask I was living with and really started to live the authentic self that was hiding all those years. And I took my first class - and with the guidance of Baron - blew them all away. Great week, and I cannot wait until I meet up with you all at Level 2. By the way - your life will never be the same after a week with Baron. Namaste.

It sounded neat, so I grabbed it, well two weeks later I went back and bought two more of his power vinyasa dvd's. I am hooked!!! I will let others know how awesome you feel after his workout. Hey Baron, I am a 37 year old fit, energetic, and driven mother of two precious boys (8yrs. and 7yrs.)I borrowed your "Journey Into Power" from the public library this summer and was so inspired by it, that I had to have it. I also purchased "40 Days Into Transforming Your Life". You've inspired me so much! I live and breath the simple, yet phenomenal principals of life you suggest. Clean eating is a very integral part of my everyday living. I also lift weights which gives me that "edge". This is how the people I work with know me. They don't know how low, low I get. I have a food addiction - I BINGE. I started doing this in my teen years. I can go for long periods of time without retrieving to this humiliating escape, but lately I haven't been able to get out of it and stick with clean eating for more than a week. It hurts physically (my swallen, bloated body), but most of all it hurts emotionally (the pain of knowing how distuctive I am to myself, knowing all the "right" answers and not being able to apply them to my daily living. I am embarrased, humiliated, and terribly dissapointed with myself. I was browsing through your website and dreaming about attending your December bootcamp in Costa Rica. I enjoyed reading the messages posted on the message board - very inspiring stories! This is a very desparate cry for help. I want to live my best life and at the same time, I am sabotaging it every day. Please help!

Hi everyone!! I left for level 1 boot camp in N.Y. telling everyone around me that I'm going to open up a studio. Inside I know it was all talk, i did not think i can do this. But next Tuesday with a lot of financial help from my dad and mental growth after the camp I'm doing it, I'm going to open "Yoga Bala". I came back and I looked for a place to start teaching first and I did that for a month or so and then the best thing just came along a block from my house a tiny studio to fit 10 -12 people. It's a start. Wish me luck. Thank you for believing in me and showing me it is possible, thanks for opening my eyes, see you at level 2. Namaste and keep growing Miryam Oz Raveh

We attended another Baptiste bootcamp with my husband this summer. It was our 5th time and the reason we keep coming back to these bootcamps, is because they are wonderful in every aspect, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. No matter what others say,you cannot truly understand its benefits until you go through this great transformational experience. This is where you learn to be true to yourself and to others.Once you finish the bootcamp and return back home, that's when you realize the rewards of it.Just like a jigsaw puzzle, you see all the pieces of your life falling into place, your soul.We need to thank Baron for his constant support, his great ability to listen to every single participant, to share his knowledge.I believe that each time we see you, although you are famous you remain humble, and this is whats makes you an amazing Yoga Teacher!Keep up what you do!A big thank you to the energetic team of assistants for truly helping us in the process. Till the next bootcamp, namaste.

Hi Baron! I want to thank you for a truly awesome experience I had during the level 2 Teacher training in September. When I feel that i am stuck and don't know how to move forward, I remeber climbing to the top of the rope swing latter and being paralized with fear about jumping off. I remember how all i could hear was my heartbeat and my head screaming that "I can't do that am I crazy!' Then I remember jumping, swinging out over the water and letting go. Total freedom. Thank you to all of my rope swing buddies, Dean, Duncan, Erika, Steve and a few others who pushed me past my limits!

Level 2 was like standing in the center of a diamond, being filled with light and each person present a facet of that diamond reflecting light and love. Level 2 in Montana was the full bloom, while Level 1 was the seed and the root. The mountains and majesty of Feathered Pipe, the power of the process and the presence of the group, opened up a very spiritual experience for me -- one I was not anticipating. I left Level 2 with my heart open and healed on many levels. I know how to be present, to be in my body in this moment. What a gift. Nothing has changed in the facts of my life, yet everything has changed. I am transformed. I know that my life is guided by the creator and I need not fear. I could go on but simply put -- I love you guys!! Create Level 3 - I'm there! xx, Carla

The residuals of Level I 2006 have been electrifying. As a Bootcamp veteran, my process of growth and discovery has been steady and empowering. The most profound shift happened for me when in a backbend, I forgave myself. At the time, I wasn't really sure what I was forgiving myself for, but suddenly there was an unleashing of pentup, almost explosive energy. It felt like the deepest surrender. I guess I was learning to surrender to myself, to my own true power, and get out of my own way.I have since been able to find poses that had eluded me for two years, not because of physical inability, but because of fear. I thank the Baptiste staff for relentlessly supporting my process. A special shout-out to Gregor for his wisdom and to Brandon for making me feel like I can truly shine. I thank Baron for his leadership and for just being himself, and in so doing, being the beacon that has journeyed me back to my own light. Namaste...Ronnie Jersky

I'm a regular at the Boston studio and have been enormously enjoying the newish intermediate class. Now we were told this class will be replaced by a basic level class to give more options for the yoga newcomers. But what about us faithful oldies? Are our needs going to be met in any way? It has been so much fun to try out new things at the intermediate class, things that are not introduced to us at other levels. I for one cannot afford the time/money costly bootcamps but have been eagerly attending the yoga workshops at Boston studio. Also, although all levels certainly is a good choise too, most all-level classes during the weekdays are way too early for me to attend due to my work hours. So please, to keep us coming, make sure the class schedule is balanced with enough options for both the new and the old yoga enthusiasts.

I went to Level II anxious as I am not yet teaching yoga. I worried I would stand out, I felt that I needed to be a real yoga teacher to be able to benefit. From the moment the program began I realized of course that my fears were unwarranted. I am fortunate I did not let my fears keep me from such a wonderful experience. An experience of coming together as a group, sharing common ideas, developing a safe and supportive environment and allowing everyone the rare opportunity to grow. A growth that far exceeds the confines of the yoga mat, yoga room and even yoga realm. I am thrilled to be able to share with others the wonderful experience that is Level II and hope to return myself some time soon. Tashi Deleg. I tried Baptist Yoga about 3 years ago and loved it. I never went to a workshop, but was able to do enought to lessen the pain in my back. But as humans are, I was weak, and did not continue. This year, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Now I have something to fight for. I feel awful most of the time. Tired, in pain and over weight. I wish I had someone like Baron next to me all the time to tell me it will be alright. I am 51, and feel like my life has drained out of me. Just 3 years ago, I was full of life. Is there anyone out there that has RA? I do NOT want to become a victim of this disease. I want to live. I want to feel better. I want to beat this without drugs. I'm not taking anything right now except Aleive or Ibuprophin. I need advice. Baron, I wish you could talk to me. But I will listen to anyone who has some encouraging words. Thank you all for reading my letter. My email is pamelamary9@verizon.net

Hi all. Just want to say that I finally get it. Some of you may have this experience- you are reading all of Baron's books, you are doing the exercises, you are trying to meditate- and somehow you are not the perfectly balanced and in shape yogi that you want to be. Baron has a beautiful message to share with us- but until you experience it all that he says remains as information in your mind. What I want to share with you is this. Let go. Stop trying. Stop wanting to be a certain way, even if the way you want to be is a healthy, calm person of love. This is true- as soon as you stop trying- you can become a part of the flow. You are how you are right now because You are. Accept it. And love yourself because you are beautiful. If you have pain and anger- accept it. If you have hatred- accept it. You can only change after you truly accept where you are. And if you look at your yoga mat like a mirror- notice that as soon as you stop thinking about being able to do a pose- you just flow right into it. That is how life works too! I love you all and want for everyone who is reading this to know that you are beautiful, powerful and unique and perfect as you are right now. Peace and love- Erin.

I attended a class at the Yoga conference in Toronto. I am middle aged and have only been doing yoga for one year. I have a cardiac condition but yoga has probably saved my life. I just want to thank Baron in a class full of 90% teachers he did not make me feel stupid or like a wuss because I had to stop. He obviously lives his yoga off the mat. I bought a beginner tape and when I have practiced for a while I definintely want to come for a retreat. Thnks again

I also heard the Boston studio might be closing. I will be so upset if it does. Until I discovering Baptiste yoga this winter, I had been disappointed with the quality of group fitness in Boston (in NY exercise classes generally seemed to be more intense, along with everything else I guess, for better or for worse). I have not had a good, butt-kicking class in nearly 2 years and now I am on a roll. I will gladly pay more to have your instructors kick my butt 3 times a week until I lose the weight I put on since I moved here. (Seriously, are these long winters really necessary?) Does anyone know when the next boot camp will be in Hawaii? Would love the dates for that one.

OK - since no one has posted a message in over a month (and yogis usually can't stop talking), I thought I'd share a thought or two. I guess I was born with an "all or nothing" attitude, so it wasn't suprising when I pushed myself too hard and had a wrist injury that required surgery. My days of Tulum boot camps and 5 workouts a week were over forever I thought. It would be too hard to start all over again from scratch, especially when I couldn't put much weight on my wrist at all for over a year. Why even bother if I couldn't reach the level I was used to? Luckily, what Baron taught about not only having physical but also mental strength made an impact, and it got me back on the mat. My practice is not pretty at all, and I have to ignore the inner voice that tells me I used to be better than I am now, but it would have been so much worse to quit completely. I hope that my experience helps someone out there who thinks they have to be perfect to do yoga or are ready to throw in the towel because it's too hard at times. It doesn't matter if you're the best or the worst in class - if you give yoga the best you've got, it will reward you in ways you never could imagine. Regards to all - Cass

Dear Mr. Baron Baptiste; Namaste. I am Shin Chul Hoon from Korea, currently running Su Yoga. Since its foundation in 2003, we have been actively involved in the work of Korea Yoga Association. Through our four centers, we have produced many practicing yoga instructors. In Korea, various types of yoga are existent and some of them are quite advanced in worldwide trend, and Power yoga is very popular and booming. Your renown reached us and we have already gained some of your perspectives in yoga. We would like to extend to you our cordial invitation to Korea so we can educate with your advanced knowledge ever-increasing yoga teachers in Korea. It would help us solidify our foundation on which we will maintain our leading position as educational yoga center now growing into a nationwide association. It would be a great pleasure and an honor for us to have you here for workshop that we are temporarily scheduling for early May. Please let us know if you are interested in our project which will be for seven to ten days. Then we would talk more about the details. Looking forward to hearing from you soon, Shin P.S. Around this time of the year is a very beautiful season with colors and fragrances of blooming flowers and greener grasses. Hope you can share with us the ambience in peace and life. After reading "Journey Into Power" I bought "40 Days to Personal Revolution". What an absolutely WONDERFUL book. It's almost as if Baron is speaking personally to me, he not only teaches Yoga; but, tells you how to change your thinking to change your whole life. Many statements hit home for me. I can now let go of something that has been troubling me for almost a year. It is with tears in my eyes that I say, "Thank you Baron for helping me see the error of my ways and to let go and forgive. Thanks" I hope some day to be able to take one of your Boot Camps and to meet you and thank you personally. Marti Quinn

Could someone tell me what are the main differences between Power Vinyasa Yoga and Astanga Vinyasa Yoga (which some websites will claim is the 'pure form')? I have bought the book Journey into Power and having starting the poses about a month ago and my first experience in Yoga, and doing it by myself in my room...have found it eye opening! Is truly extraordinary! Having played sports such as rugby, squash etc for many years and finally stopped about 6 months ago...I was looking for another way of keeping trim but also looking for a little more than just that. Previously I had never considered yoga thinking that it would not be intense enough when compared to my past sporting days. But I saw the book Journey into Power and thought I would try! and how wrong could I have been...definitely some of the most intense work outs I have ever had. Following day nice muscle aches, but not the pain that you can endure following weight training...and certainly hits muscles that weight training can't!! Anyway that is my short speech on how good I think this is! Problem is that I am in the UK and I think that I should try and find some places to have some classes. however is not very easy to find classes doing Power Vinyasa Yoga but instead Astanga Vinyasa Yoga...hence my question above. I want to do the classes, because whereas I think I am managing a lot of the poses (in one form or another), sometimes as I push myself to go further in the pose I find I cannot maintain that relaxed state around the head or mind and controlled breathing, because I am fighting to stay in the pose (example would be the Low Push Up...which is easy to get into but when it is the 5th time you have done it I find that my limbs are trembling a little, which means my neck muscles tighten and breathing becomes harder). I thought that by having a class or two I may get some pointers on how to manage these situations etc. If someone could give me some answers or some advice as to how to go forward...then I really would appreciate it. I just did the breathing exercise from Baron's book, "My Daddy Is a Pretzel", with my 6 year old daughter, Isabella. It was right before she went out the door to the bus stop and off to school. I had her lay down and focus on the breathing imagining she was every color of the rainbow. To see her face was priceless. Her little eyes closed and the peaceful smile that lit up her face. She believes she is a rainbow and you can just see the lightness about her as she left for school!! It was funny because when I told her to melt into the floor.. she said "How do you do that???". I can't wait to buy Baron's book and teach her the power of yoga! She's so excited!! Thank you Baron!!

I have since been certified and been teaching for a while now. It was so amazing to finally be with you in person. You have truly impacted me. Since Miami alot(unrelated) has happened in my life. I have both of your books and have been reading your latest. With my life in a major transition you have really helped me put things in perspective. So much of what you say is so true.
