Omar shares his experience of the most recent Baptiste Level One Teacher Training in Tulum, Mexico:

My week at the Baptiste Level 1 Teacher Training in Maya Tulum was an experience that can hardly be described with words. I went there to become a better yoga instructor and left a better human being. One thing is for sure, this was no beach vacation and it radically changed my ideas about the things that leave me charged and excited about life. Spending so many intense days with fellow yogis from around the world left me with a renewed sense of faith in the people around me. Baron and his inspiring team led us into some deep self examination and held us accountable to the things we found there. I learned that it is not enough to know yourself….you must then have the courage and determination to BE yourself. As the week progressed, the group began to build a momentum that asked more of each and every one of us everyday. Whether it was in the group practices, practice teaching sessions, or group discussions, people stepped up and delivered more than they thought possible. It was truly amazing to witness the changes that took place in myself and the transformations taking place in those around me.

I celebrated my thirty-fourth birthday during the training and left Maya Tulum feeling younger, lighter, and more focused than any other time in my life. Although I was away from my family at home, it was the best birthday present I could have asked for and it was time spent with a new family of friends that I know I will have for life.  We left the training with a thought process that dwells in a place of power and acceptance….even the trying times have become fuel for self growth and examination.  Returning home has been such an amazing experience. I see the world anew, and my interactions with those around me are more rich and full. My teaching has become more of an extension of my personality and has taken on an atmosphere of joy, fun, and service.  I look forward to attending many more Teacher Trainings and Bootcamps and am so excited to be a part of a community that delivers more than you could imagine by asking those attending to create more than they thought possible.
