The Advanced Art of Assisting program is an intensive weekend of powerful learning. You will learn concrete tools to assist and empower your students to achieve never before breakthroughs in their practice and access postures they never considered possible.
Learn to work with the biomechanical principles of the body to explore how it can move to bring a student right up to their growing edge in a pose, and where to place your hands to effectively and safely assist anyone in any pose. Hone your listening by exploring how the central nervous system and the energy systems of the body respond to movement. Through the power of touch and play, distinguish, discover and experience a new awareness of when to push and pull, and when to back off an assist to land it powerfully in the student’s own experience. Discover for yourself new ways to use your body and props as tools to access possibility and cause breakthroughs with every student and in every class, and learn how to assist advanced and restorative adaptations of the Journey Into Power sequence.
*This program is for seasoned practitioners or students who have completed Art of Assisting or students who have a 200 hour RYT certification through Yoga Alliance.

Weather & Clothing
August in Colorado averages 85 degrees, with cool nights and dry air. Afternoon thunderstorms are likely. Revolution is at high altitude, proper hydration and self care is a must. During program, plan to wear sportswear acceptable for practicing yoga (wicking material, no cotton) and bring layers to cover up during seated discussion or partner work. There are often 2-3 yoga asana practices throughout the day, so we recommend bringing at least two changes of yoga clothes.

You are responsible for maintaining a healthy level of hydration throughout the training. Because you will be continuously sweating and losing fluids throughout asana practices, you should balance this by consistently taking in fluids. In addition to your normal water intake, we strongly suggest that you also drink electrolyte replenishment fluid throughout each day. The amount you will need will vary depending on your size and your activity level. Please note that we do NOT provide Ultima or other powder; you are responsible for bringing a sufficient amount of electrolyte powder for the duration of the program.
