Journey Into Power Level One Training is your opportunity to join Baptiste Yoga and a committed group of people who are ready to move deeper into themselves and into their own power. This is a process of total immersion and transformation for those who want to teach, deepen their practice and transform their life.

Baptiste Level One Training is the opportunity to learn how to skillfully weave technical knowledge and possibility into your teaching style. The focus will be on all aspects of teaching and living the principles of yoga within a contemporary context and language. It is an exclusive opportunity to grow, connect, and contribute to your overall growth as a teacher and as a person.

Baptiste Yoga offers some of the most holistic and comprehensive yoga Teacher Training programs in the country. Our trainings focus on authentic, strong, safe and effective teaching. This course curriculum includes a detailed exploration of the Baptiste Methodology, as well as philosophy, sequencing, hands-on assisting, and practice teaching.
Baptiste Yoga is committed to clear, consistent standards ensuring trainees have the ability to teach with the highest level of skill while honoring their own unique voice. Our trainings give participants the tools to be able to teach classes that integrate the principles, philosophies, and technical knowledge that are the pillars of the Baptiste Yoga Methodology
Level One Training is a powerful introductory training that will set the stage for great teaching, deeper learning and will build the foundation for on-going education in the Baptiste system. Each training will build on each other and will give trainees the mentoring, depth and skills necessary to develop into seasoned, high impact teachers.
Who Should Attend Level One?
Baptiste Yoga trainings are for everyone. Anyone at any level of yoga experience who seeks a greater understanding of Baptiste Yoga and its multi-dimensional qualities of physical stature, mental training, deeper spiritual connection and the life skills needed for continued personal and professional growth and enrichment. Participants with as little as three months and as many as thirty years experience have found our Level One Training to be enlightening and deeply transformative.
Tuition, Accommodations, and Meals
Accommodations
Kalani offers a range of accommodation to suit every budget and need. The accommodations are simple and comfortable, with no televisions or phones, making it the perfect place to get away and focus on personal well-being. All accommodations include access to the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi Because Kalani is located in a tropical jungle overlooking the spectacular coast, the accomodations have no need of heating and air-conditioning and the rooms have more screens than windows in order to improve airflow and views. Bring tennis shoes, galoshes, or something waterproof for your feet, a rain jacket or umbrella, and keep in mind that Kalani is very rustic, and simple.

Tuition & Housing Preferences
Tuition includes your lodging and meals for the duration of the training. Please note that your $500 non-refundable deposit will be applied to your tuition.
- Single Room: $3,750.00 | Kalani offers a range of beautiful ocean side single rooms in very limited supply. During this training which occurs in a group setting, single rooms offer the peace and privacy some of us may desire to process our daily learnings.
- Cottage: $3075.00 (double or triple occupancy) | Kalani’s new cottages and lofts offer private and charming places to get away and relax! Kalani is applying modern, eco-friendly design to our new Tropical Cottages, Tropical Lofts, Ocean Cottages, and Ocean Loft spaces. Our best accommodations ever, some of the cottages are spacious modern wood and glass structures open to the jungle and sea. Others are elegant bamboo structures with a covered lanai.
- Bungalow/Lodge Room with Private Bath: $2995.00 (double or triple occupancy) | The three two-level lodges or Hales (pronounced Ha’-lay, Hawaiian for “house”) house several rooms on each floor with access to common areas on both levels which are sometimes used for classes. They are on the central lawn close to the Dining Lanai. Lodge Rooms are approximately 200 square feet with twin, queen, or king beds, shared or private bath, fan, and a garden vista, and the bungalows are located between the Rainbow Room (yoga hall!) and the Tree House. Each has high, slanted ceilings and tall screened windows, a Queen bed, a futon, private bath, fan, mini fridge. Approximately 225 square feet.
- Lodge Room w/ Shared Bath: $2750.00 The three two-level lodges or Hales (pronounced Ha’-lay, Hawaiian for “house”) house several rooms on each floor with access to common areas on both levels. They are on the central lawn close to the Dining Lanai. Large communal Bathroom, locker room style, separated by gender.
- Camping: $2495.00 | Kalani offers a beautiful four-acre campground with individual campsites. Each site has a redwood platform and canopy with access to bathrooms with hot showers. Campers are responsible for bringing all of their own camping supplies including tent, sleeping bag, head lamp and whatever else you might need.

Airports, Shuttles, Driving Directions
Option 1: Fly to Hilo (ITO)
Fly to Hilo from other island airports such as Honolulu on Oahu, Kahului on Maui, Lihue on Kauai, or Kona, here on the west side of Hawaii, the Big Island. Several flights are offered daily with Hawaiian Airlines (1-800-367-5320) and go! Airlines (1-888-IFLYGO2).
Option 2: Fly to Kona (KOA)
Kalani is a 2.5 – 3 hour scenic drive from Kona, halfway around the Island of Hawaii, “the Big Island”, via either the northern or southern routes. You will have the opportunity to view the other half when you return to Kona.
There are also commuter flights available from Kona to Hilo on Hawaiian Airlines. Be sure to ask airlines about their offerings of special car rental rates and inter-island flight coupons!
Shuttles
Kalani is only a 45 minute drive from the Hilo airport. There is also the Hele-On county bus that leaves from downtown Hilo. This is a slow, but inexpensive option, that comes right to Kalani if you can coordinate schedules. For more info visit the Hele-On bus website.
Kalani Resort offers transportation (from Hilo only) for $65 one way, or $45 per person if more than one traveler. We try to combine whenever possible. A regular taxi costs about $90. Contat Kalani at least a day in advance if you require an airport pickup; the cancellation policy is 24 hours notice. www.kalani.com
Driving to Kalani from the Hilo International Airport (ITO)
- Leaving the Hilo airport, turn left at traffic light onto Kanoelehua Ave/ Highway 11 South.
- Continue on Hwy 11 until you are out of town (about 5.9 miles).
- Turn left onto Kea’au Pahoa Bypass Road/ Highway 130 South and continue for 21 miles (passing Pahoa).
- Just past a green church and in sight of the ocean, a sign will direct you either to Kalapana or End of Road. Turn left towards Kalapana, then curve right.
- Follow this short road to a stop sign at a T-junction and turn left onto Kalapana-Kapoho Rd/ Coastal Highway 137.
- After about 5 miles, between the 17 and 18 mile-markers, and a half-mile beyond Kalapana Sea View Estates, Kalani will be on your left, marked with a lighted entrance sign.
Driving to Kalani from the Kona International Airport (KOA)
- Make a left out of the airport and drive north on Route 19.
- Continue on Route 19 through Waimea, down the Hamakua coast (still Route 19) until you get to Hilo.
- Past the waterfront side of town, make a right onto Highway 11 at Ken’s House of Pancakes (sign says Volcano 30 miles).
- Continue on Hwy 11 until you are out of town (about 5.9 miles).
- Turn left onto Kea’au Pahoa Bypass Road/ Highway 130 South and continue for 21 miles (passing Pahoa).
