Melanie Burns is a Certified Baptiste Teacher, Licensed Massage Therapist, Innkeeper, and perpetual student who had the good fortune of walking into a class taught by Baron Baptiste at the Cambridge studio in 1999. While living and working in Bermuda she planned vacations around Baptiste Bootcamps for full immersion in a style of yoga that rinsed her soul, left her “wrung out like a wet towel” and always hungry for more. Ten years and 500 hours of bootcamps later, she left her highly paid corporate job to teach yoga and do bodywork full time.
Melanie owns and operates the Snow Squall Bed and Breakfast and Wicked Good Yoga in Wiscasset Maine, and runs Yoga Alliance Approved 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings and 40 Days programs in her studio. She has a BA in Psychology from Clark University and is a graduate of Tom Myers’s highly acclaimed Kinesis Myofascial Integration (KMI) program. Melanie leads workshops in yoga and myofascial release and combines her strong background in psychology and anatomy to bring awareness and awaken healing in long held patterns of physical, mental, and emotional tension and trauma, to lead people to experience more freedom, and to feel more of themselves in the space they are in.
