Lori felt an intense connection to her heart and soul after her first Baptiste Yoga class. After years of battling with fertility treatments she was lost physically and mentally. That first Baptiste Yoga class was a moment and feeling of finding her way home, to her true north. The philosophy and physical practice of Baptiste Yoga have simply brought Lori back to health, peace, and connection with others.
Lori knows the power of a strong asana and meditation practice. She has found her life’s work as a Baptiste Teacher. Lori has a heartfelt connection in her work teaching yoga to Veterans and Soldiers in the Louisiana National Guard.
You can find Lori in Louisiana teaching at Yoga YaYa in Alexandria and working with her non-profit organization, GIVE POWER, committed to enriching the lives of Louisiana veterans, service members, and their families. Through the practice of Power Vinyasa Yoga, Give Power helps to promote wellness and healing for those who have served and continue to serve us daily. Stay posted to Give Power on Facebook for expansion in Give Power initiatives to include other underserved communities. Give Power leads from the powerful quote, “Personal strength and presence of mind is no longer a luxury. It is an absolute necessity. Our families need us to be present, our communities need us to be present, the world needs us to be present.” – Baron Baptiste
Lori is married to her husband Richard who is in the Louisiana National Guard and they have a darling daughter Lola. Both Richard and Lola practice yoga!
