Karen said her first class in 1999 was like reuniting with an old friend. She knew the moment after practice she had found her true path. Without realizing it, all the years of her amateur and professional figure skating and dance had been a silent road map guiding her entire life to this point. She was entering a new realm from student to teacher.
Within a year all of her injuries incurred were healed. It wasn’t until years later a car accident sent her spiraling into an abyss of yet more injuries to contend with. (Liking to refer this time as her crash course in spirituality) It was yoga and listening to her body that linked all the pieces together, bringing healing yet again. This has given Karen an incredible intuitive & compassionate sense with her students. Her passion for yoga and desire to share yoga with the world radiates brightly. Her classes feel encouraging, inspiring and all encompassing.
Karen is a registered yoga teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance and is close to 500 hours of teacher training. Karen was certified with Jimmy Barkan’s 200 hr. teacher training in 2004. Since then she has completed Baron Baptistes’ Level One and Two training, Senior Baptiste Teacher Lisa Black’s Teacher Training Intensive, TAPS intermediate and advanced. She is in deep gratitude for all her mentors & students who have helped co-create this amazing vision with her.
