Baptiste Yoga Certified Teacher:
Jane Cargill

I teach Baptiste yoga because: Teaching keeps me honest. I MUST share the transformation that’s possible! I am compelled to give it away, it fuels and inspires me.

I practice Baptiste yoga because:The BPYI flow is a melodic meditation, and the breath my mantra. The practice grounds me, uplifts me and affirms my inherent perfection.

Jane’s first experience with yoga was in the summer of 2001. After years of rigorous physical activity, her body began to speak loudly in the form of bursitis in both hips. She chose to seek an alternative form of exercise; something challenging, yet low impact which would satisfy her craving for movement. She fell in love with yoga that very first day on her mat! What she didn’t anticipate was the new-found freedom through expression and acceptance that is inherent in the yogic process. She continues to nurture that relationship with herself through daily practice, and sharing it with others by teaching.

Her intent is to teach freedom through the joy of movement and connection to Self and Source. She feels compelled and honored to lead and share the practice that has liberated her and brought her “home”. She hopes to inspire students to embrace their uniqueness, express their gifts, expand their mind, and find their JOY.

Jane actively volunteers for YogaHope, a non-profit yoga organization dedicated to bringing yoga to under-served women in the Boston area and across the country.

“I am committed to teaching my students how to fish for themselves. To personally never stop evolving as a student and a leader, and to give everything I have to share every chance I get.”
