Jamie grew up in Guatemala City and lived in the US for many years- Connecticut, New York, Colorado and Florida. She recently moved back to Guatemala and splits her time between Guatemala City and a rubber plantation, where she works, near the pacific coast of Guatemala.
Jamie loves yoga, the joy she gets from her practice inspires her to teach and share. Her classes are fun and vibrant just as she is loud and full of life. Yoga brought authenticity into Jamie’s life- she realized that being herself was the best, brightest and easiest way to be. She loves experiencing power and strength in her practice, which has allowed her to experience it in her daily life. Being a leader in her community and empowering her students to reach beyond their goals. Her love for yoga began when she found Baptiste yoga, it created the desire to teach and share the limitless possibilities you can find in your practice and apply in your life. She is Baptiste Yoga certified.
In addition to teaching yoga, Jamie is involved with yoga communities around the world- Africa Yoga Project, Baptiste Power Vinyasa Institute, Om Yoga Guatemala, Pure Yoga and MBody Yoga, in which she participates as a student, teacher, mentor, trainer, apprentice and assistant.
She earned her BA in plant biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. For fun Jamie loves to do anything yoga-related, hang out with her 3 nephews, kite board, snowboard and mountain bike.
