Carrie first came across Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga in 2005 at Portland Power Yoga in Portland, Maine. As she struggled through that first class with Alice Riccardi, she felt an overwhelming sense of coming home on her mat, and she knew the course of her life would never be the same. The next six years brought many changes, including the birth of her third son and a cross-country move to the Pacific Northwest, but her dedication to the practice kept her on course.
Baptiste Yoga Certified Teacher:
After attending Levels One and Two with Baron, in 2011 she made the decision to leave a 13 year career as a successful TV News Producer to dedicate her time to teaching Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga. It was the most difficult and rewarding decision of her life. Carrie draws on her time in the high pressure news environment, and her experience as a mother to three amazing boys to bring a grounding perspective to her students.
Carrie has had the honor of serving on the assisting team for several weeklong Baptiste Teacher Trainings, most recently in Arizona in June of 2013. She is currently serving as Ambassador for lululemon athletica, and through that amazing opportunity has attended the Landmark Forum and plans to continue her Landmark trainings. She is also an active Ambassador serving Yoga Across America’s initiative, “Yoga for American Soldiers;” saving lives and healing the wounds of our soldiers returning home from war.
Carrie has a Bachelor Of Arts Degree in Communications and Media Studies from the University of Southern Maine.
