Carol stepped onto the yoga mat several years ago as a way to recover from the many injuries caused by a lifelong of athletics, namely running. Admittedly, enjoying an intense physical practice as a replacement for a workout, there was eventually a shift from just a physical practice, to something much more whole. Craving more knowledge and insight as to how yoga works, Carol became a Yoga Alliance certified teacher in 2008.
In 2009, Carol attended an All Day Intensive workshop with BPYI and was inspired to take her teaching and practice to a new level. February, 2010 led her to Level 1 in Hawaii where she found instant connection with not only the practice and approach, but the whole of the Baptiste community. In September, 2010 she completed Level 2 in Austin and became a Certified Baptiste Power Flow instructor in January of 2011.
As both a student and a teacher, Carol continues to grow attending and soaking up all of the knowledge that presents itself to her and being open to new ways of being. She hopes that her powerful, energetic and grounded style leaves students feeling inspired.
Born and raised in Chicago, Carol has moved many times in her adult life—17 times in 24 years of marriage—including moves to Buenos Aires, Singapore and London where she currently resides and teaches. When she is not in London, you can find her as an active member of the Forever Om community in Lake Forest, Illinois.
